Executive summary
This study by the MD Anderson group generated and validated the dosimetric accuracy of proton beams delivered by their synchrotron-based treatment delivery system. This study confirms the feasibility of using synchrotron-based system to produce proton beams of sufficient dimensions for in vitro and in vivo small animal FLASH radiobiology experiments.
