Systematic review and pooled analysis of the impact of treatment-induced lymphopenia on survival of glioblastoma patients.
This review included 10 studies representing 1,718 patients. A pooled analysis was performed to evaluate the relationship between lymphopenia and overall survival for glioblastoma (GBM) patients treated with chemotherapy and RT. The mean overall pooled incidence of lymphopenia for all studies was 31.8%. Lymphopenia was associated with increased risk of death, highlighting lymphopenia as a poor prognostic factor in GBM patients.
