Executive summary
Published in the Green Journal, this study used dose-response models for predicting outcomes of chemoradiation (CRT) plus immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) for locally advanced NSCLC. The modelled 2-year OS rate of current CRT-ICB reached 71 % and 66 % for stage IIIA and IIIB/C, respectively, given 60 Gy in 2 Gy per fraction. Additionally, cardiac-sparing irradiation improved OS. Photon cardiac sparing achieved a 5-10 % increase in the modelled 2-year OS, with protons providing a further 5-10 % increase.
