Clinical practice in European centres treating paediatric posterior fossa tumours with pencil beam scanning proton therapy.
Published in the Green Journal, this survey study sent to 19 European PT centers revealed wide variations in planning approach and consequently dose to organs at risk when using PBSPT for pediatric posterior fossa tumors. Most centers used three beam directions, but their configurations varied widely across centers. Large variations were also seen in brainstem doses. The authors called for collaboration and common guidelines.
