Anne van den Hoek is radiation oncologist and Medical Coordinator Proton therapy at the Department of Radiation Oncology in the University Medical Centre Groningen (UMCG), The Netherlands. She finished her training in radiation oncology in the Erasmus Medical Centre in Rotterdam. Since 2013 she has been working in the UMCG with a special interest in the treatment and follow up of Head and Neck Cancer patients.
Since the start of proton therapy in the UMCG in 2018, she is Medical Coordinator Proton therapy, and involved in the implementation and coordination of all new indications for Proton therapy in the UMCG. In the last 5 years she was a member of the National Education Committee in the Netherlands for radiation oncology. She is a member of the board of the National Committee of Proton therapy in the Netherlands.
